Oops! Theater Shows 'Fifty Shades' Instead Of New 'SpongeBob' Movie

by Adam Pliskin

A movie theater in Colorado made a major mistake earlier this week during what was meant to be a screening of "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water."

The MetroLux 14 theater in Loveland, Colorado accidentally played the beginning of "Fifty Shades of Grey" at 11:45 am on Monday to a theater full of children and their guardians.

A man named Joe Jaramillo was in the theater with his granddaughter when the mix-up occurred. He said,

It was the parents' reaction to it that was so funny. Some were moving pretty fast to get the kids out of the theater. The family sitting behind me said what I was thinking: 'Am I in the right theater?'

"Fifty Shades" is rated R and is certainly not a suitable film for children.

Soon after it started, the screen went blank, and "The SpongeBob Movie" began to play.

It's a good thing those kids weren't exposed to any of the really inappropriate parts of "Fifty Shades" because they would probably be messed up for life.
