Rihanna herself admitted she isn't overly concerned with clean eating and would rather enjoy the tastiest foods life has to offer.
Speaking with Vanity Fair in 2015, the 29-year-old recording artist said,
Legit, I have been in the gym every day this week because I am not willing to give up my food. But I will sacrifice an hour for the gym.
Same, girl. Same.
So, how does Rihanna eat comfort food and still maintain her banging body? Well, Debbie Solomon has the answer to that question.
According to reports, Solomon has been Rihanna's chef for nearly half a decade, and one of her first gigs was cooking for Bad Girl RiRi's Super Bowl party!
Apparently, Solomon cooks a ton of Caribbean food for Rihanna, which clearly has a place close to the star's heart.
Curried chicken is frequently on the menu, but Chef Debbie's curried filet mignon looks like it's not to be missed.
According to Solomon, Rihanna isn't picky, but she is a "moody eater." Speaking with Bon Appetit, Rihanna's personal chef said,
[With previous clients] I would send in a menu on a Sunday or Monday and they would pick for the week, and then I'd be able to shop and prep, but this is nothing like that. We don't know what we're gonna want to eat tomorrow, so why even pick today?
Every protein that you can think of, [Rihanna] eats.
It appears Rihanna's chef won't sacrifice flavor for nutrition, but it is apparently about moderation.
Speaking on her approach to eating, and cooking for her high-profile client, Solomon said,
There shouldn't be shame in eating food. I won't waste my calories on bullshit. If I take a bite of something and it's shitty to me, I'm not just going to eat it because I'm hungry. I'm going to stop eating that shitty thing.
