OMFG: Norma From 'OITNB' Was Actually The Lead Of A 70s Punk Band

If you've binge-watched "Orange Is the New Black," you know Norma rarely utters a word on the show.

But Annie Golden, the actress who plays Norma, couldn't be further from the character she portrays.

That's because Golden used to be the lead singer of a punk band, The Shirts, back in the 1970s.

The band frequented New York City hot spots like CBGB.

So while Norma may be nearly silent on Netflix, she used to be very loud in a past life.
