Lokai bracelets — you've either bought one, seen one or follow someone on social media who consistently rocks them. In such a short period of time, they've become iconic. They're everywhere, and Millennials have been quick to support the cause.
While some may consider these bracelets a fleeting "trend", they're much more than that. These beaded bracelets are actually part of a much larger message, one founder and creator Steven Izen holds near and dear to his heart.
While attending Cornell University Izen's grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Izen realized the importance of remaining balanced throughout life's toughest times — and thus, Lokai was born.
The bracelet mirrors life's ebbs and flows based on the belief life is circular, riddled with ups and downs and highs and lows, but always moving. By serving as a wearable reminder, Izen is able to share his message with the world.
Today, however, a different type of Lokai bracelet is available for purchase. The limited-edition camouflage bracelet supports Lokai's partner, World Wildlife Fund.
For every bracelet purchased, $1 of the proceeds will be donated to support World Wildlife. Sales will take place between June 15 through July 28 and a "minimum contribution of $250,000" will go toward the world's wildlife.
The purpose of this charity effort is "to help further their mission to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth."
The partnership marks Lokai's second limited-edition bracelet offering. Back in March, a blue bracelet was created in support of World Water Day, which took place on March 22.
Celebrities, Millennials and social media influencers alike have all shown their support for the incredible Lokai brand -- both the limited-edition bracelets and the standard Lokai jewelry. Check out the roundup below:
