Blac Chyna And Rob Kardashian Named Their Daughter Dream For A Special Reason
The American Dream may be falling apart this week, but the Kardashian Dream is just getting started.
And I mean that literally, because Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian named their newborn baby girl Dream Kardashian on Thursday.
Dream Renee Kardashian came into this world the morning of November 10 at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The official "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Instagram page had the honor of debuting the first picture of the newest addition to the Kardashian family.
OK, fine she is adorable, and yes, human life is a miracle, blah, blah, blah.
But I gotta raise the question we're all thinking: Dream? But why?
Some people suspected Chyna might be doing what she does best and throwing shade at the Kardashian family by implying her daughter was "the dream Kardashian," as in the ideal Kardashian.
But a source close to Chyna and Rob told PEOPLE the reason for the name Dream is purely for positive reasons — and they'd been planning to name her that for quite a while.
The source said,
Rob and Chyna had the name Dream for a long time. They named her Dream because they've always said she's a dream come true.
Awww.
Maybe it's not that weird of a name after all. PEOPLE reports around 100 babies were named Dream in the US in 2015.
Rob couldn't be happier to be a new dad and gushed about his new baby girl on Instagram.
He wrote,
Today was amazing. I am so lucky!! Thank you @blacchyna for having our baby and being so strong ! I love you so much and can't wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy! I love you and Dream so much and Appreciate both of you. I know everyone saying that's my twin but that's def your nose Chy lol
Amber Rose also celebrated with her best friend and demonstrated how to properly use Dream's name, writing, "A Dream come true."
Even Kylie chimed in with her dream pun on Twitter.
Leave it to Chyna to pick a name for her baby that makes the perfect Instagram caption for years to come.
