This Guy Felt Bad That His Name Is Impossible For Wedding Hashtags So Twitter Came To His Rescue

by Candice Jalili

I'm not going to lie, I kind of hate the whole wedding hashtag phenomenon. I mean, for stalking purposes, I get it. But the fact that the next step after saying "yes" to spending the rest of your life with your love is sitting together to come up with a quippy just feels weird to me.

But hey, that's the world we're living in. And if you have a weird last name, you're basically screwed. One guy came to this bleak realization on Twitter, but luckily, the internet wasn't about to let him spiral into self-pity.

Basically, in a recent tweet, Steven Kleinschmidt apologized to his future wife for screwing her over pretty badly in the whole wedding hashtag department.

It all started when Grace Randles posted this tweet.

Steven, whose last name is Kleinschmidt, obviously felt a little bit personally attacked.

If you're wondering how "Kleinshmidt" is pronounced on Google Translate (but probably not anywhere else), check out this video.

After Steven tweeted, some other dudes with weird last names came forward in solidarity.

Luckily, a bunch of girls came to Steven's rescue with some great hashtag inspiration.

And then, some people got in there with just straight-up puns. No hashtag necessary.

Obviously, now we're all hoping his future wife is one of these crafty Twitter hashtag makers.

I personally would go for Landon Hunter Wade, the brains behind the relatable and hilarious #holykleinschmidtweregettingmarried.

But, that being said, I don't personally know Steven. Maybe he's more of a party guy! In that case, I'd instruct him to lean more toward Emily Schrecengost, the party girl behind the genius #GetLitWithKleinschmidt.

Or maybe our boy Steven is just a sappy, hopeless romantic! In that case, he has got to go with Noah Cook's brilliant idea, #loveiskleinschmidt. Then, Noah could give, like, the most amazing best man speech of all time when Steven finally gets married and uses his hashtag!

Oh, man, I'm getting carried away here. But let's hope Steven meets his future wife or, at the very least, future BFF through this tweet.
