What It Means To Have A Dream About Stripping For A Creepy Stranger

This week, we have Addie*. She dreamt of stripping down for a peeping Tom she's never seen before while he watched from outside the windows of her childhood bedroom:

I was back in my childhood bedroom [that] has a huge window and blinds. I always get weird about changing in there when the blinds are open because if someone is out on the street in our cul-de-sac, they can see me in plain sight. (I had this dream while I was sleeping in this bed over Thanksgiving Break.) And in my dream, this super creepy, peeping Tom guy [who] drove a white car would park in our driveway. I would look him straight in the eye and change for him, like, super seductively, and get totally naked. It was super sexual. I didn't know this guy, and he was so creepy. But night after night, I changed for him super sexily... ew. I hate even repeating this, but what the heck does it mean?!

Here's Lauri's interpretation:

Clearly being back in your childhood bedroom triggered the dream, but that's not to say there is not any other reason for it. So let's explore that! First of all, windows in dreams actually symbolize the way you perceive things, your 'point of view,' so to speak. Rather than closing the blinds in your dream, you left them open, which tells me you have opened your mind to something recently rather than 'closing' your mind or turning a blind eye towards it. Doing so has allowed you to face the issue head-on, just as you totally faced the peeping Tom in the dream.
Windows in dreams actually symbolize the way you perceive things, your 'point of view,' so to speak.
Let's talk about the peeping Tom. He most likely represents others' perceptions of you. Do you give a lot of weight or thought about how others see you or judge you? Maybe there was something about yourself or about your life you used to hide, but now, you are happy to show it off. From your dream, it seems you no longer care.
In the dream, you change your clothes for the creeper, but I think that shows us you've actually 'changed' your attitude for yourself. Your nakedness in the dream indicates you no longer have anything to hide; you are being open and honest with yourself and others. THAT is why it was such a seductive act in your dream... this new, open honesty is very seductive. It feels good, and it is freeing. So, yeah, I can understand how the dream freaked you out. But I want you to embrace and celebrate this dream because I believe it marks a big change in you! You are no longer that little girl who was afraid to show who she really is. You have 'stripped' yourself of your old, timid ways and have emerged bold and brave in all your naked glory!! You go girl!!
You are no longer that little girl who was afraid to show who she really is.

I hope that this was helpful to Addie and anyone else who might have had a sex dream similar to this one.

I also grew up in a bedroom that had big windows, and I think if I had a dream even remotely similar to this, I would be SO grossed out.

But it's reassuring to know the dream isn't actually creepy at all. In fact, it means you're BRAVE and FIERCE.

Good for Addie.
