If you’re an avid reader of Elite Daily’s Dating and Sex section, you’re familiar with how we Elite Daily writers feel about relationships and how the genders differ on what they actually look for.
It turns out that we’re wrong. Men and women are more similar than we thought when it comes to what we look for in potential partners. According to a new study done at the University of Rochester, men and women are very similar when it comes to things like choosing a romantic partner and feeling empathy, along with other traits.
The study measured 122 different characteristics of 12,301 people and found that when it comes to relationships and friendships, we all essentially want to find loyal partners and friendships, even if we let on that we feel differently (I’m talking to you Elite Daily male writers).
