Current/Elliot To Leave Their Own Label

Current/Elliot, the high-end denim label started by two ladies of the same name, Emily Current and Merrit Elliot, is a closet staple for serious fashionistas everywhere.

But today, WWD is reporting that Current and Elliot are both leaving their label.  The designers stated: “We are so proud of what we have accomplished with Current/Elliot. Parting ways has been a difficult decision, but we are thrilled for our next chapter in design and to perpetuate our whimsical Americana aesthetic across multiple categories.”

Fair enough. Although no explanation as to why they have decided to leave has been released, we wish them the best.
