Chris Burch Sells 10 Percent Of C. Wonder

by Ally Batista

The Chris x Tory Burch lawsuit ended about five minutes ago, and Chris Burch is sparing no time in making his next business move for his preppy women’s brand C. Wonder.

Chris Burch has just sold 10 percent of his company for $35 million to the investment bank Fidelity. This means that Burch imagines his company to be worth $350 million.

Shocking, seeing as the label has only been around for a little over a year, but Burch claims that New York has embraced his brand. Burch is planning to use Fidelity’s investment to open more C. Wonder stores and is aiming for 50 to 100, globally, by 2014.

I don’t know. A part of me feels like C. Wonder did so well in New York this past year due in part to the media attention his lawsuit with his ex-wife had garnered. Could this be a major flop?
