Something about the summertime makes me feel particularly patriotic. Nothing screams "America" more than being outside in the sunshine, barbecuing with your friends, drinking a few beers -- am I right?
Thankfully, designer Jonathan Adler and the philanthropy-meets-shoe brand TOMS have teamed up to create an accessory to make me feel even more, perfectly patriotic. The two companies have collaborated on a limited-edition line of unisex sunglasses, set to launch this month.
The sunnies give a nod to the quintessential Americana style, coming in variations of red, white and blue. The motto of the collaboration, “our glasses make you look smarter,” is printed inside of the frames, which will be sold in Jonathan Adler’s custom needlepoint cases.
In addition to making you look good, these glasses will also make you feel good. For every pair of sunnies purchases, the label TOMS will help to give sight to someone in need.
