Thighbrows Are The Latest Body Image Craze We Definitely Didn't Need

by Emily Arata

If 2015 was the year of the booty, 2016 might very well be the time for the thighs to take the spotlight. Instagram's latest trend is using the hashtag #thighbrows, a phrase for two lines that appear along the upper thighs when a woman with curves bends her legs.

In case you'd finally overcome thigh gap-induced FOMO and learned to embrace your body for its unique shape, social media is eager to supply you with a new unrealistic body goal. The average Instagram user is not to blame for this trend, but rather some of your favorite female celebrities.

Elle magazine points out thighbrows' biggest advocate is none other than Khloe Kardashian, who frequently 'grams herself and her sisters in swimsuits with high-cut leg holes. Leaning forward just enough to create a dent in the skin, they pose to flaunt their broad hips.

If nothing else, the trend serves to show the way curvy girls have replaced their thinner counterparts as the hottest commodity on social media. You'll catch B-list celebrities like Amber Rose and Kylie Jenner striking the same pose.

As Beyoncé once said: If you've got it, flaunt it.
