Target Launching A Bridal Collection

by Ally Batista

All right, at this point, I’m not so positive that Target executives get one second of sleep. They’re constantly announcing collaborations, and this next one could be their trickiest one yet. Target has just launched an in-house bridal collection.

That’s right. Now, brides can get their wedding dress shopping, and wedding registry done in the same place. The bridal collection, which will be available only on Target.com, will feature four separate styles of ultra affordable wedding dresses. Affordable as in prices range from $69.99 to $129.99.

The gowns, which will come in sizes 2 to 28, will be an expansion of Target’s existing (but not well known) Tevolio collection of 10 bridesmaid dresses and two flower girl dresses, which start at $69.99 and $24.99, respectively.

The dresses are certainly not something to get ultra excited over. Of course, some of you may be into the ultra (and I mean ultra) simple bridal gown look, but the majority of women I know look forward to their wedding day as an opportunity to wear a one of a kind dress that they’ll never get a chance to wear again. IN fairness to Target, however, the dresses look much better on the models in the ad campaigns than on their own.

In addition to that, purchasing a wedding gown online sure is risky. A wedding dress should be tried on multiple times, compared to other dresses, and well thought out; not chosen based off one picture on Pinterest.

Take a look at the dresses below, and let me know what you think:
