Everyone uses the day after the holidays as their jumping off point for starting their diet, but most people handle dieting the wrong way. Women everywhere cut their meals in half and practically starve themselves in an effort to lose the extra holiday weight.

There’s a healthier, and better way to go about your post-holiday diet detox, which will garner better results, guaranteed.

Liquids, Liquids, Liquids

Aim to drink one to two quarts of water a day in addition to one to two cups of tea and coffee to flush out your vital organs.

Cut Calories, But Don’t Go Drastic

Cut down to 1400-1600 calories a day, this way you’ll lose weight while still maintaining energy and muscle tone.

Start Your Day With A Healthy Breakfast

People reiterate this for a reason. Starting your day off with a healthy and hearty breakfast will reduce your likeliness of binging later on in the day.

Eat Light

It’s possible to eat until you’re full without overdoing it with the calories. Stick to lean proteins, whole grains and vegetables. A full plate of those three items will fill you up, without the guilt of eating a large unhealthy meal.

Cut Some Foods Out

Refined sugars, white flour, rice, high-fat meals, dairy and soda have to go. No ifs ands or buts get rid of them.

Stay Active

Obviously.
