Have you ever wondered how your beloved lipsticks are made? Well, The Zoe Report dropped by The Bite Beauty Lipstick Factory in Toronto, Canada for a little visit and recorded the entire thing so beauty lovers can get some inside action into the lipstick-making process.
Even though I'm not the biggest fan of lipstick in the world, I have to admit watching pink goo turn into lipstick might be one of the most mesmerizing things I have ever seen.
Bite Beauty has gained a significant following recently for its promise only to use all-natural ingredients in its products. The video from the company gives beauty lovers a 54-second glimpse into the various steps that go into making your tubed obsessions.
It wasn't necessarily the process I was expecting. (I assumed lipstick was made by a fairy makeup godmother who strangely resembled Kylie Jenner and would just appear in makeup bags out of thin air after binge-watching episodes of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”) Nevertheless, the process was still pretty awesome to see.
One of the coolest parts of the whole video can be seen when the formula is piled up onto the mechanical rollers, where the mixture is then evened out into a long sheet of tough, pink creaminess.
It is literally so therapeutic to watch, you might forget you have a job and just watch it for hours like I did. Oops.
Once this process is done, there are a few more steps, and then POOF: You have lipstick.
Now you know how lipstick is made and that fairy makeup godmothers do not, in fact, exist (here's hoping I'm proven wrong), but rolling machines and microwaves are the ones making the magic happen.
Watch for yourself above and see how your lovely little lipsticks are made.
