Can you think of a designer you’d want to follow more on twitter than the infamous Karl Lagerfeld? The brains behind Chanel and the source of entertainment for the industry apparently won’t be joining any social media outlets anytime soon. According to a recent interview with The Telegraph, this is how he really feels:

“They lose a lot of time these people, and they become stupid because they nearly tell you they’re going to the bathroom, eh?” Lagerfeld said referring to Facebook and Twitter.

At least he’ll never change. Lagerfeld also touched on the success of the Coco Chanel biopics. He feels as if his version of Coco Chanel’s early career, "Once Upon a Time" starring Keira Knightley, is much better than the 2009 film "Coco Before Chanel" starring Audrey Tautou.

“Oh, the movie was bad. She played it like women’s lib, like Simone de Beauvoir 30 years before 'The Second Sex.' No, no, no, no. Chanel was a different kind of woman,” he said. “Keira had it. She is a young woman in love, not a spinster.”

Lagerfeld also mentioned that he loved making the film so much that he’s already working on a sequel:

“It is called 'The Return' and it is about when Chanel came back in the 1950s. The French press hated the collection and it was the American press who rediscovered her. So we will go to America. And in that, [Knightley] will be mean and bitter.”

Will you be watching the sequel?
