Weekend Outfits: October 5

Why have I been in such an edgy mood lately? I’m not sure why I’ve been so drawn toward the color black this past week but I do know that I’m loving it. The weekend is upon us and as always; I’m overly prepared and setting aside inspiration for outfits.

This weekend I have daytime familial responsibilities that call for casual dress. Of course to me casual is a less formal dressed up. I still have a place in my heart for colored denim and this light orange/yellow color is beautiful for early fall. I’d pair these jeans with a black long sleeve top, a statement necklace (always opt for the statement necklace) and studded smoking slippers. Add an oxblood colored bag for a bit of color blocking and a pop of extra fall color.

I have big plans for Saturday night and plan on going all out. This mesh-patterned top is beautiful. The neckline is so detailed that no serious jewelry is required. A leather skater skirt and a pair of complicated pumps will give this outfit the extra edge I’ve been so recently attracted to.
