Stella McCartney is known for her adamant vegetarianism. Which is why it’s a bit shocking that she’s now selling a bag made out of animal textiles.
To be precise, the animal textile is wool from her very own sheep. That’s right. Her sheep. The designer typically uses plastic and cotton to create her accessories, but this bag is one of a king.
Named the Itsy Bitsy bag, the bag is named after her own sheep. Stella McCartney claims that no sheep were harmed during the shearing process, so the bag still fits her “ethos of sustainability and not harming animals”.
The bag is available exclusively on stellmcartney.com for $1,990.
