Illusions are a girl’s best friend. Well, at least for someone like me. I actually don’t have any feminine like curves, at all, so any article of clothing that creates that illusion is a must for my closet.
Luckily enough for me, this upcoming season is all about sided dresses. A sided dress is usually vertically color blocked on the outline of the dress instantly flattering your figure and slimming you down.
Alice + Olivia
This Alice + Olivia Amena Fitted Colorblock Dress ($275, Neiman Marcus) is beautiful but basic and is super versatile as it can be appropriate for multiple events.
Milly
This Milly ‘Tabitha’ Colorblock Dress ($425, Nordstrom) is similar to the basic Alice + Olivia dress, but the pink piping makes it a little more exciting.
Black Halo
This Black Halo ‘Dublen’ Notched Neck Sheath Dress ($345, Nordstrom) is my favorite choice. It’s so simple yet complicated. The jade green is a beautiful color, the notched v-neck is sexy without showing too much skin, and the high-low hemline always makes me feel more feminine.
