Splurge Vs. Save: Cropped Tweed Jacket
One of this season’s most popular textures is tweed. Tweed is essentially a rough, unfinished woolen fabric that can be flexible and soft at the same time. Don’t ask me how it’s done, I just wear it.
What I love about tweed is that it really just gives off a fall vibe. Several different colors can be incorporated into the tweed fabric, and what says fall more than a combination of different shades of browns and oranges? This week, I’m focusing my splurge vs. save on cropped tweed jackets.
These jackets can be worn with a tank top, dark wash skinny jeans, and heels for a quick and easy date night outfit, or can be worn over a blouse and skirt and made more work appropriate. You’ll definitely get a lot of use from a cropped tweed jacket this season.
I mean really, have you ever seen a more beautiful jacket than this Giambattista Valli Tweed Jacket? (Barney’s, $1,845)
This INC International Concepts Tweed Jacket has gone down in price due to sales consistently this past month, and the frayed edges are very similar to that of the splurge version. (Macy’s, $65.99)
Would you wear a cropped tweed jacket?
