Rag & Bone: Spring 2013

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright sure went for the sporty feel for this upcoming spring season. Rag & Bone’s Spring 2013 collection showcased edgy minimalism this week during New York Fashion Week.

Perhaps the most obvious aspect of the collection was the monochromatic colors. Various shades of blue were most prominent, followed by all white outfits and random pops of kelly green and coral.

Texture played a major role in this collection: leather was seen once again, along with lace edging, particularly on blouses and shorts. As far as patterns go, railroad stripes were apart of a multitude of ensembles.

The collection had a very relaxed feel, sporty as I called it earlier in this post. There was an androgynous aspect, with the pantsuits, trousers, and blazers, and an athletic feel with the tennis dresses. There were a lot of light layers, draping, and even draped fabric as hoods. Will this be a popular trend? I guess we will see.

My favorite look:

How do you feel about this collection?
