Louis Vuitton S/S 2013

One of the most fascinating and creative shows of Paris Fashion Week was without a doubt the Louis Vuitton show. The stunning models entered the venue via escalators in what was one of the most entertaining and creative entrances during New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Not only was the entrance to the show stunning, the collection itself was beautiful. The majority of the collection was based off of a play on the notorious damier pattern that Louis Vuitton associates itself with. Oversized checkerboards in various neutral shades (some random pops of yellow and green) we’re the pattern of choice.

There were baby doll dresses, boxy jackets and silhouettes, ¾ sleeves, large sporadic florals and a sheer white damier pant which was one of my favorite designs this entire past month. Styling also played a major roll in this show. The models were styled with pulled back hair, feminine bow headbands and dewy makeup.
