Holiday Party Attire: Androgyny

By now I’m sure you’ve started receiving invitations to a multitude of holiday parties, and if not, they’re definitely coming soon. It’s time to start thinking about what we’re going to wear to such events.

Now I know the typical holiday party ensemble includes a fun and flirty party dress, and trust me, I love a party dress twice as much as the next girl, but I want to try going in a different direction,

Androgyny. If you’re a frequent reader, you’ll know that I’m equally obsessed with menswear as I am with the girliest pieces possible. Suits have been a huge trend this fall/winter, and I thought making a few makeshift suit options for a holiday party would be a great way to stand out.

My first option consists of a black trouser and a tuxedo blazer. Classic and clean cut, appropriate for an office party.

The second option is bold. A sequined blazer and leather pencil skirt option gives you a suit-skirt option while still staying young and fun.

The third option is a combination of the two. A tartan plaid blazer screams holiday, and a palazzo pant is timeless, in my opinion.

What do you think, would you wear a suit to a holiday party?
