Favorite Looks: 7/27-8/3
Certain celebrities and their style inspire every girl out there, and if you disagree, you’re lying. A large portion of my daily routine is scanning the Internet for inspiration through fashion and street style blogs, so I’ve decided to post my weekly favorites from here on out.
You’ll soon come to find that Olivia Palermo is my personal style icon. To me, everything she wears is perfection. This week two of her outfits earned spots in my weekly favorites. The first look utilizes a piece I used in this week’s Splurge vs. Save article: The Tinley Road Peplum Top from Piperlime (Olivia is a Piperlime spokeswoman). I love this look because it’s a black and navy combination. One of the biggest myths in the fashion world is that black and navy do not match. Yet the combination has been seen all over the runways for Fall/Winter 2012. Olivia proves that you can pull this unusual pairing off.
Olivia’s second look was shot on the streets of New York City. Here, she is wearing a Free People romantics tapestry shift dress (Only $170.16!). This dress is a perfect transition piece: the colors are right for fall, yet it still has a summery feel. Olivia completes the look with a statement necklace in similar colors.
Kate Bosworth pulled off the High/Low dress technique in a $188 Equipment Signature Sleeveless Blouse and a $3,690 Tom Ford Kidskin Natalia Bag. This is a perfect go to day to day look.
This woman does no wrong. Her own collection is quickly becoming one of my favorites and I hope you can see why. This week Victoria Beckham was photographed while out to eat in London in a dress of her own design. The Swan Collar Crepe Dress by Victoria, Victoria Beckham ($675) has a vintage feel and a beautiful blush color that is without fault for this upcoming season.
Finally, Emmy Rossum stunned the red carpet of the CW, CBS and Showtime 2012 Summer TCA party in Beverly Hills in a lavish lace Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 black and white cocktail dress.
