Favorite Looks: 8/3-8/10
This week it was difficult to narrow down my best-dressed picks, as the 11th annual InStyle Summer Soiree 2012 on August 7th had many well-dressed and worthy candidates. I managed to settle on five ensembles that I loved, and every one of my choices is wearing fun and flirty summer dresses.
Leslie Mann in Monique Lhuillier
Leslie Mann looks stunning in this coral colored Monique Lhuillier dress. I love the length of the dress, how it flows outward and the leather waistband. She styled the dress perfectly with minimal accessories and nude pumps.
Victoria Beckham in Victoria, Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham truly is the best model for her own line. Her studded silk crepe and twill dress is another example of black and navy mixing well together and my androgynous side can’t help but love the schoolboy feel of it.
Jaime King in Marchesa
I love it when designers take a conventional style of dress and transform it into something special. The always-stunning Jaime King wore a Marchesa one-shoulder cocktail dress to the InStyle Summer Soiree. The color of the dress contrasts perfectly with her skin tone and her modest choice of hair and makeup styling really allows the dress to stand out without being too obnoxious.
Ariel Winter in Moschino Cheap & Chic
Honestly, what’s more fun for summer than a white floral halter dress with a skater skirt? Ariel Winter’s Moschino Cheap & Chic dress was age appropriate and fun for the InStyle Summer Soiree.
Mena Suvari in Georges Chakra Couture
Finally, Mena Suvari in Georges Chakra Couture. This dress is most definitely my favorite of the week. The dress fits her perfectly and the floral embroidery on the shoulders and pleats on the skirt are beautiful. Suvari also wore the perfect pair of heels for the dress, the pale pink making the ensemble even more feminine without making it look childish.
Do you agree with my favorite looks of the week?
