Fashion Inspired By: Greta Garbo

If you’re a frequent reader of the women’s section of Elite Daily, you’ll know that I draw almost all of my inspiration from classic films and the immortal actresses of the silver screen. Styles that were in fashion fifty to a hundred years ago are slowly starting to come back, and I could not be happier.

One of my favorite classic film stars is Greta Garbo. The Swedish born film icon ruled the silent film era and is a four time Academy Award nominated actress. I love Greta Garbo because she had such a classic androgynous sense of style, even back then.

To dress like Greta Garbo, try pairing ultra feminine ruffled, tailored blouses with a tailored pair of trousers or a form fitting tweed or boucle skirt, all of which are on trend for this season.

Greta Garbo was the epitome of a movie star, so don’t be afraid to accessorize with statement jewelry pieces, elaborate coats and hats (perfect for standing out in cold weather).
