Forget everything I said about any other collection shown during New York, Milan, or Paris Fashion Weeks throughout the past month. Chanel just blew every other designer out of the water with their Spring/Summer 2013 Ready to Wear collection.

Chanel was the first design house to revolutionize haute couture and prêt-a-porter (or high fashion and everyday wear) and Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s creative director, certainly encompassed those two concepts for this collection, which is in my opinion, one of Chanel’s greatest.

Chanel focused on a few major points: black and white, bold colors, boxy silhouettes, boucle suits (of course), florals and oversized pearl accents. Chanel truly stuck to their roots and iconic styles and that’s one of the main reasons why I love the brand. They always manage to fit in trendy pieces to their classic pieces and I commend them for that.

The collection reminded me so much of a flirty and feminine classy girl. The spokeswoman for this line should be Blair Waldorf, as she is the absolute definition of this collection. My favorite accents? Oversized pearls as studs (playing on the current edgy trend but sticking to their feminine roots) and the Lucite brimmed sun hats.

My favorite look:

It truly was difficult to choose a favorite look, as I loved them all, so please direct yourself to this link and enjoy!
