Many of you would be quick to say yes. I mean, we’re women. It’s insulting to think otherwise, right? Wrong. Today is the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade. You all must know what that is, don’t you?
Well, apparently not. According to a new study conducted by the Pew Research Center, just 44 percent of women under the age of 30 know that Roe v. Wade is in fact about the issue of abortion.
16 percent of those polled thought that the case dealt with desegregation and 41 percent either say it involved another issue or didn’t know.
Is this embarrassing or what? I guarantee that the majority of the women polled would strongly state their views on abortion, and many wouldn’t even know the foundation of the actual issue.
Educate yourselves. Know what your rights are and the history behind it, or no one will take you seriously.
