Holiday Nail Colors For Your Skin Tone

by Ally Batista

It’s common knowledge that when choosing makeup for yourself, you must choose colors that work well with your specific skin tone. So why should this rule be restricted to makeup?

It’s also necessary, when choosing a nail polish, to make sure it blends well with your skin tone on your hands. There are thousands of nail polish colors out there, and I’m sure as women we’ve tried close to every one, but only a select few true look good with our skin tone.

Because of this, I’ve set aside three nail polish shades for this holiday season that will look good for your particular skin tone, along with that one versatile color that will look good on everyone.

Every Skin Tone

Lippmann Collection Nail Lacquer in Wicked Game ($16): this nail polish works on every skin tone, which makes it a great versatile color. Not only is the silvery lavender color perfect for the holiday season, but also the iridescent quality makes the color change slightly to adapt to everyone’s skin tone.

Warm-Toned Skin

OPI Nail Lacquer in Shim-merry Chic ($8.50): this copper colored nail polish works wonders on warm-toned skin with yellow undertones

Cool-Toned Skin

Zoya UltraGlitter Nail Polish in Nova ($7): This blue-red, glitter nail polish is perfect for the holiday season.

How do you feel about these nail polishes?
