Are You Applying Your Moisturizer Wrong?

Applying facial moisturizer seems like a elementary enough procedure, but are you actually doing it correctly? I’m kind of OCD about how I go about my beauty routine, including the motions in which I apply moisturizer to my face. It turns out, my method is wrong.

Clarins Skincare says that when applying facial moisturizer, you should not rub it into your face. Oops, guilty. Apparently, when applying facial creams, it’s best to pump some onto your palm, rub your hands together to get your palms coated, and gently press the moisturizer into your skin.

This is an ideal method because tugging at your skin overtime can cause damage and wrinkles. If you’re rubbing in anti-aging creams and moisturizers, the pulling of your skin completely defeats the purpose of using the anti-aging cream or moisturizer in the first place.

Will you be switching to this routine?
