Eagles Fired Head Coach Chip Kelly And Twitter Lost Its Damn Mind

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles announced it had parted ways with head coach Chip Kelly.

Owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement,

We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward.

ESPN reports, Pat Shurmur will take over as interim head coach for this upcoming Sunday's Week 17 finale against the New York Giants.

Ed Marynowitz, vice president of player personnel, was also released, CBS Sports reports.
