Even guys like Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Fallon were once nobodies (or relatively unknown) and had to go on beer runs like the rest of us.

Back in 1996, Kobe was the rookie, Jimmy was the struggling comedian and the two ended up being the oddballs at the party.

The 36-year-old Lakers legend recalled a story of them hopping into his Land Cruiser and hitting the Pink Dot to grab some brews where they had to do some finessing.

A humanizing story for two successful men, to say the least. But, the real story is how they looked in 1996:
