Kid Treats Part-Time Job Contract Like A Professional Sports Signing

If you're a diehard sports fan and you've never likened your career to that of an athlete, are you really a sports fan? This guy can definitely say he is.

Teenager Andrew Paterson, a rookie prospect out of Scotland, recently renewed his part-time contract at supermarket chain ASDA.

Like any new signing in Britain, Paterson tweeted out photos of him cementing his commitment to the ASDA team, much to fans' delight on Twitter.

Some congratulated Paterson for resisting contract offers from some of the bigger supermarket teams in Britain.

@AndrewPaterson_ Congrats, and fairplay for turning down that big offer from Tesco, refreshing to see. — Brandon (@Brandicus93) February 28, 2015

Others knew him moving to another club was never in question.

@AndrewPaterson_ Congrats, I know how much it means to you as a boyhood ASDA supporter. — Grant James (@GrantJames_CFC) February 28, 2015

For those who haven't caught on, what Paterson reenacted is the typical protocol for soccer teams in the UK when a new signing is made. It's the ol' holding-jersey-signing-contract TwitPic combo.

It's such a tradition, a club will go out of its way to stick to it.

Paterson's "fans" loved it, too. His tweet was retweeted nearly 20,000 times and got tons of replies.

The terms of his contract, however, are yet to be disclosed.
