For me, the US Open is arguably the greatest two-week stretch of the entire year.  It's the perfect crescendo to close the summer on, and I make attending New York's Grand Slam an annual tradition.

Over the years, the Open has changed drastically.

For starters, the price of tickets has skyrocketed recently, and you often feel like you're drowning in a sea of corporate sponsorships everywhere you go on the grounds.

However, the one constant throughout the tournament's history has always been the passion of the players and the quality of the tennis. For one reason or another, playing in Queens at night, under the bright lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium, brings out the very best in tennis's brightest.

One of those stars is Great Britain's Heather Watson, a 24-year-old with a wicked forehand and some fancy footwork.

In addition to her prowess on the tennis court, Watson might just be the sexiest star who competed in the 2016 US Open. Here's a closer look at Heather Watson, Britain's hottest tennis star, on and off the court.

Heather Watson is a 24-year-old professional tennis player from Saint Peter Port, Guernsey.

She's competed in all four of tennis's Grand Slams at various points in her career...

...with her best results coming at the Australian Open and her home tournament of Wimbledon.

Like much of the field she competed against at the US Open, Watson just represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

At the moment, Watson is ranked No. 75 in the world, which is a bit of a fall from her career-high of No. 38 in the world at the beginning of 2015.

In addition to being one of Great Britain's best tennis players, Heather Watson is absolutely stunning.

In fact, she might be the sexiest player who competed at the 2016 US Open in Queens, New York.

Watson won the US Open Junior tournament in 2009, with a straight-sets win over Yana Buchina.

Her only senior career Grand Slam title came earlier this year, when she won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title with Henri Kontinen.

Though she got knocked out in the first round of the 2016 US Open at the hands of Richèl Hogenkamp, Watson has definitely caught our attention.

And regardless of how she faired in the singles draw at this year's tournament, Heather Watson has already captured our hearts.

Here's to the next great British tennis champion, Heather Watson.
