It Looks Like The Future Of Skateboarding Doesn't Even Involve Boards

The next wave of skating is here, people, and it will blow your mind.

Hammacher Schlemmer, the company that sells those gizmos and gadgets you never knew you needed, is selling Sidewinding Circular Skates. These are basically skateboards without the board.

Sidewinding Circular Skates will run you $99.95.

Instead of a board, riders place their feet in 10-inch wheels, which can go on pavement, “short grass and dirt surfaces.”

There's an optional attachable rod to provide “stability to novices and [hasten] the learning period.”
