EPL Player Was Arrested For Allegedly Sleeping With A 15-Year-Old Girl

Adam Johnson was already in the midst of trying to pull off one great escape with his English Premier League team, Sunderland.

Now, he'll have to attempt another one.

According to numerous reports in the UK, Johnson was arrested on Monday morning on the suspicion of having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

Daily Mail reports police came to the player's suburban home in three unmarked cars and a police van and took him away.

A source told the Mirror,

He has been arrested over claims he has had a relationship with a girl aged 15.

Sunderland, while suffering a bad season, are trying to escape being relegated from the Premier League if they finish among the bottom three clubs.

Now, they will be trying to escape that fate without Johnson, who has been released on bail, but was suspended by the club today.

Johnson, meanwhile, will likely have to pull off his own escape from what looks to be a pretty damning situation.
