Aaron Hernandez Has Just Been Found Guilty Of First-Degree Murder

He's done.

Aaron Hernandez has been found guilty of first-degree murder this morning, regarding the June 2013 death of Odin Lloyd.

The unanimous verdict was reached by a 12-man jury at the Fall River, Massachusetts courthouse.

In light of the jury's decision, which came after some 35 hours of deliberation since last week, Hernandez now faces life in prison without parole.

The reading of the verdict was met by the cries of Hernandez's mother and fiancée, who now may never see Hernandez outside of a jail cell. Lloyd's mother, on the other hand, had a largely subdued reaction.

Hernandez was charged will shooting and killing Lloyd in a Massachusetts industrial park. Lloyd, who was the boyfriend of Hernandez's fiancée's sister was shot six times.

An appeal to the verdict is sure to come from the defense.
