Carlee Alisan Leifkes will cherish her engagement ring forever, especially because it has a little piece of her fiancé, Lucas Mancoon-Unger, nestled inside.
In a Facebook post, Leifkes shared a photo of her ring with Mancoon-Unger's wisdom tooth resting elegantly in the center.

She wrote,
So incredibly excited to marry my best friend, the man who knows that his wisdom tooth means more to me than a diamond… We have never been the 'traditional couple,' why the heck start now?
Leifkes never dreamed of a diamond ring. In an interview with BuzzFeed, she insisted,
Diamonds are so overrated… I don't need one to prove how much someone loves me. [Lucas had] already moved all the way from Canada to do that!
The California couple decided on the ring together and, after contacting Mancoon-Unger's father for an old wisdom tooth he had kept from when his son was younger, the couple took it to a jeweler.
Leifkes accompanied her hubby-to-be to pick up the ring but wasn't able to preview it before he got down on one knee Saturday to propose to her in front of her family.
The pair, who met at a Canadian music festival, plans to marry this month in Vegas.
