Woman Tells Hilarious Story About Dedicated BF's Hours-Long Gift Wrapping Fail

Wrapping presents is basically like a festive form of art.

Therefore, learning how to execute the perfect wrap job takes a lot of time and practice -- not to mention, the next-level arts and crafts skills of Martha Stewart.

If you're someone who is all too familiar with the struggle of concealing your presents in a shit show of ripped wrapping paper, crumpled tape and tangles of ribbon, don't worry.

It turns out you're not the only one who can't seem to grasp the concept of taping a piece of paper to a box.

A woman recently shared a hilarious story about her boyfriend's gift-wrapping disaster on Reddit and this story might just be the best damn Christmas gift of all.

That's right. Reddit user TobiDaDog recounted the tale of her significant other's wrapping fail after he told her to leave the room while he wrapped her gift. She wrote,

I've basically been trapped in one room for an hour and a half. I was beginning to worry when his mother arrived. Apparently he was struggling so badly with wrapping paper that he had to call someone for help... and of course it couldn't be me. I asked his mother what was going on and she just whispered that he is indeed struggling terribly.

If bringing your dear old mom in for some gift-wrapping backup isn't bad enough, TobiDaDog continues her story, saying, "He actually came out a moment ago to 'take a break.' This is one gift."

It seems a lot of people can relate to this man's present-wrapping problems because TobiDaDog's post has managed to rack up over 1,000 comments in less than a day.

Many Reddit users can't seem to decide if this dude's hardcore wrapping struggles are cute or concerning.

On one hand, the fact that this dedicated dude appears to be putting so much effort into wrapping his girlfriend's present is pretty sweet.

But on the other hand, some people have pointed out that this might be a red flag because let's be real: It's wrapping paper, not rocket science.

Other Reddit users took this as an opportunity to share their own hilarious stories about their boyfriends' inability to give them the gift of a decent wrap job.

There was the story of a guy who shamelessly took the wrapping paper off his present and reused it to quickly cover his wife's gift...

Reddit

A tale of a husband who turns paper into tiny origami cranes, but can't seem to properly cover a present with wrapping paper...

Reddit

And a similar story in which a woman talked about how her husband can create beautiful, hand-crafted jewelry, but doesn't know how to tie a damn ribbon around a box.

Reddit

Another person tried to defend the man's sub-par ribbon-tying skills and then, well... everything basically went to hell.

Nonetheless, I think it's safe to say we're all dying to know what the hell this man was having so much trouble wrapping.

For this guy's sake, I hope it's something big and oddly shaped.
