This New App Will Do Your Math Homework For You Because Learning Is So 2015

If you're a Baby Boomer who somehow got lost on your way to AARP's website, I have some good news: You now have another reason to frivolously complain about this generation.

They -- I mean, uh, we -- have finally found a way to be even lazier in school. It's a new app, of course.

It's called PhotoMath, and it's ridiculously easy to use. After downloading the app, all you have to do is take a picture of a math problem.

Then, boom: You have your answer.

This takes finding the answers to the odd questions at the back of your math book to a whole new level. Not only will PhotoMath give you the answer to any given question, but the app will also provide to you the most crucial component of any math test: the step-by-step work.

A demo of how the app works is shown in the video below:

PhotoMath has been available for a couple of years now. But up until its most recent update, the app was not able to read people's handwriting or provide step-by-step guides for each problem.

Now, it can.

This is obviously one of the most clutch inventions ever. Oh, and it's probably another one of those things that will totally make future generations dumber than their predecessors.

OK, maybe "dumber" is too harsh. But there's inevitably going to be a difference between the things we think are basic skills and the things the current crop of teenagers think are basic skills.

Perhaps Gen-Z – that's right, they're a thing – already struggles with writing in cursive. After all, who needs writing when we have iPads?

Anyway, PhotoMath does indeed look like it'll come in handy for a lot of people.

We finally have something that'll help us get over the struggles of solving for "x."

And by "we," I really mean y'all. Some of us know our calculus.

You have a good day now.
