For reals. One's going for $16,999.99. It's up for another 27 days, and there are around 40 people watching it.
Some "Aladdin" tapes are going for ridiculous amounts of money as well. This one's got a $1,000 price tag.
But a quick search will find you the same Disney tapes on eBay for under $10. So, is there any reason for us to believe that one day, VHS tapes will be worth big bucks?
In short, no one has a definitive answer. The fact is, there are just too many of them still around. Who doesn't have a copy of "Beauty and the Beast" in the attic?
But having said that, we could all still learn a thing or two from the vinyl surge.
Many people who bought the first White Album played it so much, the vinyl is now useless. But those who could see into the future and therefore kept it in mint condition can reap their rewards today, in the form of thousands of dollars.
