Girl Writes Letter Asking Obama To Wear Tie-Dye Shirt, He Has Hilarious Reply

The White House

If you're writing to the big man in The White House, you've gotta find a way to grab his attention.

After all, think of all the letters Barack Obama must get.

Lily, aged eight, knew exactly how to make hers stand out from the crowd: by making it sassy as hell.

The youngster asked the president to wear a tie-dye shirt to spice things up a little in this crazy world.

Is that too much to ask?

She also advised Obama to take a waterskiing vacation for chill time and informed him of her desire to be president if her first career choice doesn't work out.

Here it is in full if you're struggling to read her awesome cursive:

Dear Mr. President,
I think this country needs more spunk. With all the attacks, the Zika virus, and the wars, this country is a very sad place. Please do something fun. Wear a tie-dye shirt and shorts to something important. Go on a water skiing trip in the Caribbean. Take your family to Disney World. Do something fun and out going. Also, please say something that will make everyone calm. You do not know how many politics worries I have.
Congratulations on having served almost eight years as President! I almost forgot to write that. I am your biggest fan, too. My dad is in the Air Force and that inspired me to have my back up job be President. (My dream job is cardiovascular surgeon.) Keep running the country!
Sincerely, Lily 8 years old
P.S. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

No, Lily, YOU'RE an inspiration.

It seems like Obama loved it because he took time out of his day to respond in the form of quite a lengthy letter.

In it, he explained wearing a tie-dye tee might not go down well with Michelle and the kids.

That response is tie-dye for.
