In the wake of one shooter slaughtering 49 victims at a gay nightclub in Orlando, The Walt Disney Co. will donate $1 million to the OneOrlando Fund to support those affected by the tragedy. In addition to its large donation, the company announced they'd be matching employees' donations dollar for dollar.

The chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Bob Chapek, said in a press release,

We are heartbroken by this tragedy and hope our commitment will help those in the community affected by this senseless act. With 74,000 cast members who call Orlando home, we mourn the loss of the victims and offer our condolences to their families, friends and loved ones.

After announcing the fund during a vigil on Monday night, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer reached out to Disney via Twitter and thanked them for their donation.

While not all of us have a spare million to donate, we can all do our part by donating what we can to the OneOrlando Fund or by checking out three other solid ways to support the victims and the LGBT community as a whole.
