Guys Reveal How They Handled Liking Someone Who Didn't Want To Commit

If you're going to Reddit for dating advice, it's probably already too late to save whatever relationship you're trying to get into.

There is a good chance, at some point, you spent three years of your life chasing someone who didn't want to date you back.  Her name was probably Allison or Emily, or something like that.

She liked the same music as you did, her ears did this cute thing where they moved when she laughed and she probably knew all the words to "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."

She was the perfect girl, and she had zero interest in you.  Redditor chillyblizz is in the midst of this age-old problem of liking someone who simply just doesn't want to get involved with him.

So, he went to Reddit asking for help.

He said,

I like a girl and she says she likes me back but doesn't want to think about another relationship. I have that nagging feeling that I'm just a temporary stand-in and that she's exaggerating the way she feels towards me so I'll stick around. I just don't have the guts to do anything about it but wait because I really like her. I guess we could be friends if nothing else. Your thoughts?

Why did this person think going to Reddit was a good idea to figure out how to get a girlfriend?

I have no idea. We all do dumb things when we're in love. I saw "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" in theaters because I liked this girl who thought the movie looked fun.

When you like someone this much, the concept of rational thought gets chucked out the window.
