I Tried These Chic AF Heels That Are Legit Comfy Enough To Wear All Day

High heels are notoriously uncomfortable — some designer brands are almost famous for it — which is why any shoe that claims to deliver podiatrist-approved comfort in a luxury heel will automatically grab my attention. So when I got to try a pair of Elizée Italian luxury heels for a week to see if they passed the wearability test, I was all in. (Having been personally victimized by more than one pair of stilettos in my life, I admittedly went in with a healthy dose of skepticism). But legitimately — this woman-founded brand might have finally cracked the code, with a proprietary biomechanical insole and luxe Italian leather designs that rival high-end labels. My Honest Thoughts On The Shoes

I tried the on-trend Rhea sandal, which arrived impressively packaged. (One of the first things I noticed was how the brand includes a dust bag to protect your investment.) Elizée shoes are handmade in Italy exclusively using ethically-sourced sustainable leather from tanneries with the highest rating from the Institute of Quality Certification, so the leather was buttery-soft out of the box and I had no trouble breaking them in. They fit perfectly, as well — almost too perfectly in my case, so I might recommend taking a half-size larger if you’re in-between sizes. One thing I especially appreciated was how the heel flared out just a touch at the base, creating a wider foundation to walk on for added stability without sacrificing the look of a thinner heel. (Plus, there’s a tiny bit of a platform, which reduces how high the heel actually feels.) The heels were easy to walk in, even on New York City asphalt, and couldn’t have been prettier.
