We all know trips to the beach and relaxing poolside throughout the summer months would simply be incomplete without your partner in crime by your side. And by partner in crime, I'm specifically referring to your beloved pool floaty. From pizza slices, watermelons, and ice cream cones, to pink flamingos, golden swans, and rainbow unicorns, the possibilities for the essential pool float companion are seriously endless. If you're a summer lover and pool float fanatic like myself, prepare to freak out, because a pool float “sanctuary” in Spain actually exists where your inflatable toys go to live out their best life.

I mean, let's be honest: What’s summer if you didn’t Instagram the perfect pose chilling with your main *inflatable* squeeze in the tropics? Since summer has already come to a bittersweet close, goodbyes are never an easy task. It has also been extremely difficult to part ways with our pool floats for the time being. I would say it’s time to get super sappy and drop the classic Peter Pan line, “Never say goodbye, because goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting,” but you don't have to bid farewell to the floaty lifestyle just yet. Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma in Mallorca, Spain, is collaborating with to make all of your floaty dreams come true, thanks to the "inflatable sanctuary."

Yes, you heard that right. Just because summer's over, that doesn't mean our pool floats have to stop having way too much fun in the sun, amiright? According to a press release from, the pool floaty hype is all too real, most especially among millennial travelers. But, the saddest part about the floaty trend (note: it's time to break out the tissues) is that research found a slim bit over a quarter of travelers in the UK bring their inflatables home when their vacation comes to a close. As for the rest of the pretzels, adorable peacocks, and chill AF yellow ducky floats? They're left behind. Um, BRB, just going to cry in the corner for a hot sec.

Warning: The below scene is not for the faint of heart.

Have some respect for your pool floats, people. But, before you get too upset about the statistics, these pool floats have been given a second chance to live it up in a gorgeous tropical oasis. The very first "inflatable sanctuary" at the Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma on the island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean is truly an exquisite sight to see. The best part about it? If you book your trip to this hotel through over the next three months, you can adopt the pool floaty of your choice for your stay. I don't know about you guys, but I'm calling up my girl crew and booking the next flight out to this paradise ASAP.

Isabelle Pinson, vice president of EMEA at brand, said it best in the press release, revealing,

I mean, just look at that face. How could you not immediately fall in love with that little guy and want to take him out for a swim? This destination is really the perfect getaway when you're in need of an escape with your mains this fall. And besides, these floats could always use some more companions while soaking up those gloriously warm rays. Expect your Instagram followers to be super jealous of your travels.
