Megan Thee Stallion just announced her new album is dropping next Friday, Nov. 20, and fans are freaking out. She's been teasing the cover this week, but nothing could have prepared fans for Megan Thee Stallion's Good News album cover. She's newspaper-clad and ready to spread the details of new songs to come. We all could use some good news in 2020, couldn't we?

Megan Thee Stallion hasn't taken a day off in a very long time. She's been topping charts, performing at award shows, and apparently, working on some fire new music. The rapper has also been making headlines nonstop, speaking up for Black women and making sure that her voice is heard loud and clear: "'Protect Black women' should not be controversial," she wrote in an opinion piece for The New York Times on Oct. 13. Now, she's plastering headlines all over her album cover to make a bold statement about her agency in pop culture and media.

The cover itself is marvelous. Cloaked in only a newspaper (featuring articles only about her, of course) the "Savage" rapper has reaffirmed her place on the front page, ready to take the music world by storm once again. She only just released her third EP, Suga, back in March pre-pandemic. So much has happened since, like when she topped the Billboard Hot 100 with her "Savage" remix featuring Beyoncé, but that hasn't slowed her down from heading into the studio and producing some sure-to-be bangers. TikTokers are probably already armed and ready with new dances to go along with the viral hitmaker's newest project.

Megan's posed happily on a pedestal for the cover and small snippets of what seem to be articles about her stand against misogynoir litter her surroundings. It's a strong statement about her life in the public eye, and is inspiring to say the least. "THROUGH SUCH A ROUGH YEAR I FELT LIKE WE COULD ALL USE A LIL GOOD NEWS," she proclaimed in all caps on her Twitter and Instagram.

The album, which drops officially on Nov. 20, is being kept under wraps for now; she did not release the tracklist alongside the cover. Seems like eager Hotties will have to wait just a little bit longer to learn about all the surprises in store for them.
