Teen Carries His Disabled Friend To School On His Back Every Single Day

You don't always need extraordinary abilities and a flashy costume to be a superhero.

In fact, there are lots of seemingly normal people who are actually heroes hidden in plain sight.

Case in point: 18-year-old Xie Xu.

While this Chinese student may not be blessed with superhuman strength, that hasn't stopped this incredible kid from carrying his disabled classmate, Zhang Chi, to school on his back for the past three years.

Zhang suffers from muscular dystrophy, and his weakened skeletal system makes it extremely difficult for him to walk.

This dynamic duo serves as an inspiration to all, and Xie Xu's selfless dedication proves you don't need special powers to be someone's hero.

Meet Xie Xu and Zhang Chi.

Zhang suffers from muscular dystrophy.

For the past three years, Xie Xu has been giving him piggyback rides to school.

Xie Xu makes at least a dozen trips with Chi every day, and he even delivers meals to his disabled pal.

Aside from being dedicated friends, these two are also top-performing students.

And Xie Xu makes sure his friend never misses a class because he can't get there.

His good deeds inspire others to help out, and according to the school's headmaster, "He also exerts positive influence on other students, who readily help Zhang."
