This Guy Flipped His Insane Sneaker Collection $160K To Buy Apartment

by Emily Arata

When you have to choose between a sneaker collection 20 years in the making and a home, there's only one logical answer.

Chinese Radio International reports a 30-year-old man, known as “Mick,” sold 283 pairs of sneakers for a cool $160,000 (1 million yuan) and immediately put that money into a down payment for an apartment in the pricey city of Beijing.

Mick pawned the sneakers at Beijing World of Pawn Co., Ltd. yesterday.

A photographer was on hand to snap shots of the man's incredible collection and the bricks of yuan he received in payment.

He's not too stressed about selling the sneakers, however.

Mick told press he plans to save enough money to buy them back in just two short months.
