Sisters Separated For 40 Years Reunite For Bigger Emotional Surprise (Video)

by Emily Arata

Two Cambodian sisters, split up by Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge, lived 40 years without seeing their immediate family.

Channel 4's "Unreported World: 40 Years to Find My Family," however, sees the pair reunite for the first time.

After losing many of their relatives to the violence of the Khmer Rouge regime, siblings Bo and Hong grew up to lead drastically different lives.

While Bo farms rice in Cambodia, Hong is married to an American, and she's managing a donut shop.

Their tear-marked, worn faces reveal lives of loneliness and voids filled for the first time.

Keep watching until the final minutes to see an even bigger surprise for the pair: meeting their long-lost mother.
